For children ages 6 to 12

PLASTIC - hands on exhibition

A hands-on exhibition for kids about plastics and sustainability!

Toys, computers, clothes, packaging, cell phones, cars, bicycles, and safety helmets – many of the things we use in daily life are made of plastic. But what exactly is plastic?
Running time:
  • 08. March 2016
    - 04. September 2016
  • 02. October 2015
    - 02. March 2016
How is it made and what is it made of? Is it really artificial material? What do we need it for and what can it do particularly well? And why has thoughtlessly discarded plastic waste become a major environmental problem? You can find the answers to all these questions in our new
hands-on exhibition. Do your own lab experiments with plastics, which consist of very, very long polymer chains. Put together molecules, take a go at the plastics parkour and think about how we can live with plastics in an environmentally friendly way.

Duration of exhibition: October 2, 2015 – March 2, 2016 (closed on Mondays) and from March 8 – September 4, 2016
